Camping Oase Praha August 2008
This campsite is not as close to Prague as some others, but its peaceful, rural surroundings
and good facilities make up for this. There is a bus stop right outside the entrance, which takes you to a tram stop for the rest of the journey to the city centre - the whole trip takes about an hour and tickets are available from a machine near the reception
office. Once a week there is a bus from the site which takes you on a round tour of Prague.
The pitches are spacious, grassy and level, with some trees for shade. The site is secure, with a swipe card to operate the barrier and also
the showers and washing machines (small charge.) The toilet block is very good, clean and modern. There is an outdoor pool and also a smaller indoor one. There's a snack bar, shop and playground near the pool, and an excellent restaurant in the reception block.
The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a large supermarket about 3 miles away.
There is so much to see in Prague that several days are needed, so it's a good idea to alternate a hard day's sightseeing with a quiet day relaxing
in this pleasant campsite.
