Norfolk May 2018

Thanks to John’s “cardiac incident” in early 2017 we had to write that year off from the caravanning point of view.  We managed a short trip to our favourite UK site, Moor Lodge in Leeds, but at the time felt our trips abroad had come to an end.  We put the caravan into storage at Border Caravans near Peterborough, as a convenient place for travelling north without the long drag round the M25, returned to Seaford caravan free and settled for a package holiday to Greece that September.

By spring 2018 John felt he was fit enough to hitch up again, so we planned an easy trip to break ourselves in.  Our aim was to collect the ‘van from storage, take it to Leeds for a few days to see the family and then head to Norfolk for two weeks.  We wanted to revisit Hunstanton, where we spent part of our honeymoon forty-eight years ago and had never been back since, and then follow the coast round towards Suffolk.
